In our day to day lives we often forget to make time for ourselves. We underestimate the power of smile and its impact on our lives. To remind people that taking a break from our day to day activities and smiling doesn’t hurt, UN (United Nation) have decided to celebrate INTERNATIONAL HAPPINESS DAY.

The main aim of this day is to remind people that in general happiness does not necessarily come from buying and consuming, or from being famous or glamorous – but often from friends, family and emotional well-being. It reminds you to focus on the positive energy around you.

International Day of Happiness was introduced by the General Assembly of the United Nations during 2012 and was celebrated for the first time in 2013, it was conceptualized and founded by philanthropist, activist, statesman, and prominent United Nations special advisor, Jayme Illien to inspire, mobilize, and advance the global happiness movement.

Here are few tips to keep you happy:

. Meditate– It helps in keeping one’s body calm and makes you feel happy.

. Play With Animals- Animals helps in making one smile, cuddle  and play with them, smile with automatically appear on you face

. Go Out With Friends and Family– Spending time with your loved one with make you feel tension free and relaxed. Enjoying with them will automatically make you feel happy.

. Listen To Music – Listening to your favorite song will help you to relax and smile, dance while listening to it, it will uplift your mood. 

. Engage In Your Favorite Hobby– Engaging in your hobbies will make you happy as you are doing something you love. It can be Dancing, Singing, Reading a book, Swimming etc.

Celebrate this International Happiness Day by spending time with friends and family, taking time to reflect and meditate, helping others and spreading happiness because smile is contiguous.
