Top 100 Startups Selected Developed by various ingenious startups in agriculture, health, clean energy, water, waste management 24 innovative ideas will get work in various government departments

Mumbai: Startup scheme is being implemented by the Skill Development Department to give scope to the innovative ideas of the youth. For this, 1,600 startups from all over the country participated in the competition organized by Maharashtra State Innovation Society.

The best 100 startups were announced by Skill Development Minister Shri. Nawab Malik. He said that the youngsters have come up with innovative changes in various fields like agriculture, education, skills development, health, clean energy, water management, waste management, administration etc. These ideas will be used for working in various departments of the government.

Maharashtra Startup Week from August 4 Information on 100 selected startups is available at www.msins.in. These startups will be presented during the Maharashtra Startup Week from 4th August to 8th August 2020. Startups will have the opportunity to present their innovative products and services in front of a committee of senior government officials, investors and experts.

Currently all presentations will be held online in the background of the corona. The best 24 startups will be selected and given various government work orders up to Rs 15 lakh each. The Minister also announced that these work orders would be issued on a pilot basis to implement their innovative products and services in government departments.

The Maharashtra State Innovation Society under the Department of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship works for effective implementation of innovative startup policies. Under this Maharashtra Startup Week is implemented. This is the third year of this initiative. The main objective of this week is to bring innovation in the government by implementing innovative products and services projects of startups in the government system.

Startups from across the country accredited by the Department of Industry and Internal Trade Promotion (DPIIT) can participate in this initiative. The winning startups of the last two weeks have worked with various government agencies, departments like National Health Mission, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, MSEDCL, Rural Development, various Municipal Corporations, District Offices using their innovative ideas, said Minister.
