Mumbai: Union Minister for Social Justice Thawar Chand Gehlot today reiterated that various facilities are being provided for the benefit of the disabled through various schemes of the Union Government. He was speaking at the ground- breaking ceremony of the new  hostel building of Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disability at Ali Yavar in Mumbai today at the hands of Gehlot. 

He expressed confidence that the construction of the building would be completed within the next year (within the stipulated time). Country or organization for the students to learn the vasatigr the roots He said it would be a great benefit. He mentioned that it is very important for students coming to study in a city like Mumbai to have accommodation. Gehlot informed about various welfare schemes being launched by the Ministry of Social Justice under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The hostel building will be constructed on the premises of Ali Yavar Jung National Institute in Bandra West, Mumbai . The construction cost is expected to be around Rs 20 crore. The eight-storey building will have 70 rooms with toilets and canteen facilities. The building will provide easy access to accommodation for the disabled. About one and a half hundred students will be able to avail this residential facility. Due to the facility, the construction will be done by the Central Public Works Department through Messrs. RKR Construction.
