PM Narendra Modi turned a year older today. The visionary Gujarat born leader has been receiving birthday wishes from supporters and well-wishers across the country. 

For his birthday Narendra Modi flew to Ahmedabad to celebrate the day with his mother. Modi has an interesting schedule on his birthday which includes kicking off “Namami Narmade” festival at Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river, reviewing developmental projects like river rafting, jungle safari park, butterfly park and the  Ekta Nursery. Visiting Khalvani eco-tourism site and Dutt Mandir on the banks of the Narmada is also part of his schedule.

People are celebrating PM Modi’s birthday in their own unique ways in different cities. Atul Vakeriya, a baker from Surat came up with a special idea of 700- feet long cake. This cake would weigh whopping 700 kgs. The cake will be cut by 700 honest people at Sarsana convention centre. Not only this, the cake will be distributed among 12,000 children at 370 schools. Vakeriya further said that by distributing food packets in 370 schools at nine tribal districts he plans to celebrate the repudiation of Article 370 in Kashmir.

On the other hand students of two government schools in Uttar Pradesh have made hand made birthday cards for PM Modi. It turns out that Modi celebrated his last birthday with these children and this year as well a grand celebration followed by a cake-cutting ceremony is being held at the school.

Social media is also flooded with wishes for the Prime Minister. Different hashtags like #happybirthdaynarendramodi and #HappyBirthdayPM are being used. 

Maneka Gandhi, Lok Sabha member, and activist planted 10,000 trees in her constituency on PM’s birthday. She tweeted, “ Planted 10,000 fruit trees in my constituency Sultanpur to celebrate Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s birthday. The entire forest area will be fenced and has been named NaMo Van. #HappyBdayPMModi #SevaSaptah”.

Actor Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Happy to present the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mahaveer Jain’s special feature, #MannBairagi on the defining moment of our PM’s life on his birthday! #[email protected] @PMOIndia @bhansali_produc”.

Home minister Amit Shah tweeted, “Warm birthday wishes to the Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodi ji, the country’s most popular leader, a symbol of strong will, decisive leadership and tireless hard work. A new India emerging under your leadership has made a mark in the world as a strong, secure and trustworthy nation,”

Bhartiya Janata Party has been observing Seva Saptah from 14th to 20th September to celebrate Prime minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
