On Sunday, 23rd June, the iconic P L Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy will host Conversations Mumbai’s 3rd Session, a unique idea sharing platform with the intention to inspire people and develop out-of-the-box thinking by bringing together successful & unique individuals from different walks of life.
Five speakers from diverse backgrounds will share their life story giving the live audience a deep insight into what it takes to break the clutter and stand out from the rest. They will share how they came up with their unique ideas, the initial setbacks, their thought process and how they are keeping pace with the ever-changing environment.
One of the speakers, Paula McGlynn has made India has her home. She is know as Canadia Marathi mulgi by her fans. She is an Entrepreneur, Writer & Actor. After pursuing her degree in Fine Arts from Canada, Paula McGlynn fell in love with India and co-founded Bharatiya Digital Party (BhaDiPa) – the pioneer of Marathi Digital Content & Marathi Stand-up Comedy.
Renowned Percussionist & Composer Taufiq Qureshi will be talking the nuances of traditional rhythms of India to an alternate form of World Music. He is Recognized for his path-breaking and trend-setting work in the field of world music.
The Stop Acid Sale movement was started by an Acid attract survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She is championing the cause of acid attack victims, an international motivational speaker and a recipient of multiple awards such as International Women of Courage 2014, NDTV Indian of the Year 2013, Mother Teresa Award 2018. Chhapaak, a biopic based on her life, will be released in 2020 starring Deepika Padukone
An 800 years long sport Mallakham will be brought to life by Uday Deshpande who has been promoting and coaching Mallakhamb at the ‘Samarth Vyayam Mandir’ at Shivaji Park in Central Mumbai. Over the years, he has trained multiple athletes and taken the sport on the global map.
Last but not the least, Anand Shinde Elephant Conservationist will be talking about how Elephants are on the verge of getting extinct by the year 2015 and the importance of elephants for the ecology
