Belapur: On behalf of the Government of Maharashtra while taking preventive measures against Covid -19. A statewide curfew has been imposed under Break the Chain till 7 am on May 1, 2021 and the time for purchase of essential items has been given from 7 am to 11 am.
In this connection, in order to prevent the citizens from rushing to the market in time for the purchase of vegetables, fruits and fish, Municipal commissioner Shri. Abhijeet Bangar had instructed the Assistant Commissioners of all the Divisional Offices to temporarily relocate them to open spaces in view of possible market places which could be crowded for shopping in this manner.
Accordingly, 48 vegetable and fish vendors at Diwalegaon in the Belapur divisional office area have been temporarily relocated to the grounds of the nearby Om Sairam Charitable Trust. Similarly, 65 vendors in Shahbaz Belapur were given Sector 15 CBD. Has been relocated to a vacant lot at Belapur. Also, the market in Sector 3 has been temporarily relocated to a vacant lot adjacent to the nearby Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex.
The Navi Municipal Commissioner Shri. Abhijeet Bangar said, Municipal Corporation is taking care that both the citizens and the vendors should not be inconvenienced during the curfew and the purpose of the curfew should be to break the corona chain.
