NCP is struggling to find candidate as leader Ganesh Naik has refused to contest Lok Sabha election Chief Sharad Pawar will hold a meeting today discussing the same.
The defeat of NCP’S former MP Mr Sanjeev Naik in the last Lok Sabha elections was a great shock, due to which NCP has started the hunt for stronger candidates. Shiv Sena and BJP have made an alliance for the elections which is one of the reason NCP do not want to take risk and wants to field a tougher candidate against the opposition MP Rajan Vichare. NCP may decide to make former MP Anand Paranjpe the face of NCP this Lok Sabha elections.
Source close to Mr Naik told our reporter that Ganesh Naik or Sanjeev Naik have not made any statement about not contesting in election it is just a hype created by media.
The presence of NCP corporators from Mira Bhayander, Thane and Navi Mumbai is expected in the meeting that will be held today.
