HPL being the one of the biggest producers of polymers in India, after a major fire broke out at the naphtha cracker unit of the Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, the administration of Haldia Petrochemicals closed down its plant after the incident.

The fire broke out at the company’s Haldia plant in West Bengal on Friday, clearing out at slightest 15 individuals harmed. Sources said that the administration will choose on when the plant might be made operational after the evaluation of the committee. Out of 15 workers harmed, two of them have been released after treatment and three of them are in criticial condition, as per reports.

A few of the harmed were conceded at Kolkata’s Columbia Asia clinic for treatment. The HPL board, in its assembly has been informed of the occurrence. In a statement the company while expressing their regret over the occurrence said that they have approved administration to take all appropriate action for the welfare of the harmed staffers and extend support to their families.
