The program will be conducted from the state’s vault; the global tender will be released to make good vaccine available

Mumbai: Free vaccine will be given to all the persons above 18 years of age in the state and a global tender will be issued to make the vaccine available at cheaper rates. Nawab Malik, National Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party and Minister for Minorities, informed that the program will be undertaken from the state government’s vault for this.

The central government has announced a decision to vaccinate people above the age of 18 across the country from May 1. Therefore, it is clear that the central government will not supply vaccines to people below 45 years of age.

CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has been assured of maximum support by Mr. Adar Poonawalla and the Serum Institute of India to ensure maximum vaccination at the earliest in the State of Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the Covidshield will cost Rs 150 for the center, Rs 400 for the state and Rs 600 for the private sector. Nawab Malik also said that the price of covaxin has been announced at Rs 600 to the states and Rs 1,200 to the private sector.

This rate was discussed in the previous cabinet. I agree with this, the decision was made to give free vaccines to the people of the state. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had given a shout. So Nawab Malik also said that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced on 24th April. Meanwhile, Nawab Malik said that tenders for free vaccination would be issued soon.
