City and Industrial and Development Corporation (Cidco) said it will take three months to start the work on the new bridge, parallel to the existing bridge.
Kopra Bridge at Kharghar was shut five months ago but officials said the renovation work will start in a few days. They explained that the work could not start because of protracted monsoon.
“Due to pending Tendering process and administrative approbation, it will take 2 to 3 months to work on the new bridge, we have instructed to start repair work soon” one of the official at Cidco stated.
