Today this International Men’s Day take a moment and spread love to them because they don’t show it but they need it.
International Men’s Day is observed every year on 19 November and celebrated in over 80 countries by appreciating men’s who support the ongoing effort to improve lives, mend troubled minds, heal scarred hearts, reform the social outcasts, seek solutions to social problems and uplift the dysfunctional. The aim of International Men’s Day are divide in “The Six Pillars” which include focusing on men’s and boys’ health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, highlighting discrimination against men, and promoting male role models. It is an occasion to celebrate boys and men’s achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care. The broader aim of the event is to promote basic humanitarian values. This day co-occurred with Movember which comprises of men flourishing their facial hair to promote conversations about men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Every year there is a particular theme some of them are “Giving Boys The Best Possible Start In Life(2011),”Helping Men and Boys Live longer(2012), Happier and Healthier Lives”, “Keeping Men and Boys safe”( 2013), “Working Together For Men and Boys”(2014 ), “Working To Expand Reproductive Options for Men”( 2015), “Stop Male Suicide”,(2016), “Celebrating Men and Boys In All Their Diversity(2017), “Positive Male Role Models” (2018),The theme of this year is “Making a Difference for Men and Boys,” and focused on promoting the need to value men and boys and to help people make practical enhancement in men and boy’s health and well-being.
According to its creators, International Men’s Day is celebrated to promote positive form of male identity based on the assumption that ‘males of all ages respond more energetically to positive role models than they do to negative gender stereotyping’. but is for the purpose of highlighting men’s experiences Broad objectives were ratified in 2009 as a basis for all International Men’s Day observations, and which are applied equally irrespective of their ability, social background, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, relationship status, gender identity and religious belief.
