Belapur: It is noteworthy that these houses constructed by CIDCO are available at very affordable rates as compared to the prices of houses in the surrounding area. These houses of very good construction quality further strengthen the confidence of the general public in CIDCO. CIDCO has borne the brunt of the subsidy from the Central Government for this housing scheme.
CIDCO has kept its promise to take possession of the house from July 1. These remarks were made by Mr. Eknath Shinde, Minister, Urban Development, Public Works (Public Enterprises) and Guardian Minister, Thane District. The flats were handed over to the successful applicants under the auspices of Shinde.
During this site visit, Shri. Eknath Shinde said that it is a matter of happiness that the dream of thousands of families to have their rightful home is coming true. He said that it was commendable that CIDCO was not limited to house building and development projects but also set up Covid centers and hospitals at various places as per the directions of the government during the Covid crisis.
At this time, Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee noted that the decision was taken to alleviate the difficulties encountered during the covid-19 Mahasathi as well as the financial difficulties faced by the applicants. This moment of handing over the flat to the successful applicants is a joy to fulfill the promise. Successful applicants will be given possession of the houses in phases from 1st July, he added.
