Panvel/Kalamboli: The e-inauguration of Dedicated COVID Health Centreat the community center in Sector 5E of Kalamboli and at CIDCO’s Training Centre in Dronagiri developed by CIDCO within a short time span under the guidance of the state government; was conducted on 2nd April 2021 at the hands of Shri. Eknath Shinde, Urban Development Minister, Government of Maharashtra and & Guardian Minister of Thane.

The hospital was developed under the valuable guidance from Shri. Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of maharashtra.

Considering the increasing number of COVID 19 infections in Navi Mumbai, the state government took initiative for creating a modern health infrastructure at two places in the city and further instructed CIDCO to develop well-equipped hospitals for extra care of the patients from Uran and Panvel region.

Accordingly, CIDCO took action on an immediate basis by developing hospital at Community Center in Sector 5E, Kalamboli within 30 days that comprises 72 beds capacity with 60 oxygen and 12 ICU beds costing Rs. 5 crores. This hospital developed by CIDCO is unique in various features. The patient flow is designed by setting a contactless system as a precautionary measure to protect the medical staff from transmission while treating the patients. The ground floor will comprise facilities like 12 ICU beds, ICU ventilator and High Flow Nasal Cannula, Centrally Distributed Oxygen Facilities, X-ray, CR system and centralized contactless supervision of patients.

The first and second floor consists of 60 oxygen beds with availability of 800 liters dura cylinders for oxygen supply and extra 6 cylinders have been arranged to allow the constant supply of oxygen. As per the hospital criteria, fire-fighting system has been installed. Efficient IT infrastructure and high-speed internet line has been installed for the software required for the management of patients. keeping in mind the necessities of patients, arrangements of warm water and RO/UV drinking has been made at each floor and there are separate bathrooms for male and female patients.

All amenities required for hospital management, security system, medical equipment, infrastructural facilities has been provided by CIDCO in accordance with guidelines provided by Panvel Municipal Corporation. The Dedicated COVID Health Center is transferred to Panvel Municipal Corporation along with its e-inauguration thus; Panvel Municipal Corporation will be responsible for the administration and management of the hospital .

Besides this, CIDCO has also developed a hospital at CIDCO training center in Dronagiri, Uran within 25 days with 50 oxygen bed capacity costing Rs. 73 crores. The said hospital has been transferred to Medical Superintendent by CIDCO. Through the development and e-inauguration of Dedicated COVID Health Center in Kalamboli, CIDCO has once again displayed its commitment along with the state government to tackle and outcast the pandemic COVID 19.

The ceremony was conducted at the presence of Ms. Aditi Tatkare, Minister of State Industries,Tourism,Protocol,Information-PR, Sports and Youth Welfare, Law and Judiciary, Horticulture, Mining & Guardian Minister of Raigad district, Shri. Shrirang Barane, Member of Parliament, Shri. Niranjan Davkhare, VP member, Shri. Balaram Patil, VP member, Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Shri. Sudhakar Shinde, Commissioner of Panvel Municipal Corporation, Shri. Ashwin Mudgal, Joint Managing Director of CIDCO, Shri. S. S Patil Joint Managing Director of CIDCO and Shri. Rajendra Dhayatkar, Chief Engineer, NMIA along with other dignitaries.
