Zoya Akhtar’s “Dil Dhadakne Do” was released five years ago on this day, and some of the film’s cast members posted on social media to mark the occasion. Taking to Instagram on Friday, actor Ranveer Singh, who played the role of Kabir Mehra in the family drama, posted a throwback picture from the sets. “5 years of #DilDhadakneDo,” he captioned the image in which he is seen sporting a spiked hairdo. Reacting to the post, Zoya commented: “Take me back.” To which, Ranveer’s wife Deepika Padukone responded: “Me too.” The widely -loved movie was based on the life-changing experiences of a family.
Ranveer’s co-star in the film Anushka Sharma posted the film’s poster on her Instagram story, writing “5 years of ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.” Anushka essayed the role of Ranveer’s love interest in the movie. As the romantic comedy-drama film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ completed five years of its release on Friday, actor Anil Kapoor also recalled some fond memories that he shared with his fellow cast members during the shoot. To mark the fifth anniversary of the hit film, the ‘Malang’ actor shared some throwback pictures from the sets of the film.
Taking to Twitter, Kapoor posted four monochrome photographs and one of them featured a dramatic pose given by the lead actors of the flick including Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, and Shefali Shah and others. “The ship full of love, fun, happiness, and laughter set sail 5 years ago! A sea full of memories with the best people! #5YearsOfDilDhadakneDo #ZoyaAkhtar,” the ‘Judaai’ actor tweeted.
