Mumbai: The chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, sent anniversary greetings to the mayor, municipal commissioner, office bearers, officials, employees and citizens of Thane Municipal Corporation and Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation on the corporation’s 38th and 37th anniversary respectively on October 1.

The CM lauded the efforts of both the corporation for their efforts to carry on developmental works along with containing the spread of COVID-19.

Praising TMC’s testing of 6000 people every day, the CM stated that the corporation has successfully stemmed the death rate due to the corona virus and ensure the health of the citizens during the corona crisis.

He lauded the implementation of development works in Thane and Kalyan-Dombivali in the face of the present pandemic. He mentioned the flyover over the creek in Kalwa, the railway bridge in Kharegaon, the SATIS works at the Thane (East) railway station and the waterfront development work under the Smart City scheme in Thane and the ring road and Kopar flyover in Kalyan-Dombivali.

Expressing gratitude to citizens of both the corporations, Uddhav Thackeray appealed to them to continue the support to the government’s efforts and the ‘My Family, My Responsibility’ initiative of the State government.
