Vashi CIDCO Exhibition Centre organized three-days ‘Wellness Fest’ which was attended by More than four thousand people.
Ravindra Patil, Additional commissioner said, “Navi Mumbai has achieved 7th rank in the country and 1st rank in Maharashtra for cleanliness and also has been voted as best city for participating in Swachh Bharat Abhyan. Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has participated in this event to ensure that citizen of the city should maintain healthy and happy lifestyle ”. Chairman of the Mumbai Port Trust, Sanjay Bhatia, HSBC High Commissioner, Mr. Tushar Pradhan, Deputy Commissioner, Solid Waste Management Department, Mr. Tushar Pawar, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Dadasaheb Chabukswar Transport Manager Mr. Shirish.A. and other dignitaries were present at the event.
On this occasion, Cleanliness Workers were awarded honorarium from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation for their contribution in maintaining the cleanliness of the city. Rukmini Chavan and Balu Murudkar (Belapur), Shanta Rathod and Swapnil Koli (Nerul), Dadasaheb Amrit Sagar and Laxmibai Choude (Vashi), and Ramabai Bhalerao (Turbhe), Anil Patil and Sangeeta Dabde (Koparkhairane), Shri. Vijay Durve and Bharati Upare (Ghansoli), Tarabai Tribhuvan and Jaywant Keni (Arolli) ,Lila Acharya and Shri. Arun Dalvi (Digha) were honoured by NMMC (Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation).
Dr. Nivedita Shreyans said, “This program which teaches the method of survival of a tense free life through yoga, meditation and various types of demonstrations, will continue in future too”.
