Today on 11th Septemeber, 2019 the successful trial run of metro rail line no. 1 Belapur to Pendhar under CIDCO’s Metro Project, distribution of allotment letter to 10,000 successful candidates from CIDCO Housing Scheme-2018 and the beginning of the process of registration of tenements in 9,249 out of 95000 Mega Housing Scheme took place at the hands of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Devendra Fadnavis.
The other dignitaries present at the event were Shri. Ravindra Chavhan, Minister of State, Port, Medical Education, Information and Technology, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Guardian Minister, Raigad District; Shri. Jaywant Sutar, Mayor, NMMC; Dr. Kavita Choutmal, Mayor, PMC; Shri. Prashant Thakur, MLA, Panvel and Chariman, CIDCO, Smt. Mandatai Mhatre, MLA, Belapur; with Shri Lokesh Chandra, VC & MD, CIDCO; Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Jt. MD-1, CIDCO; Shri. Ashok Shingare, CIDCO; Jt. MD-2, Shri. Nisar Tamboli, CVO, CIDCO and HOD’s, officers and employees were present in large number.
Out of the four lines proposed for Navi Mumbai Metro, Line no.1 will have a total of 11 stations of 11.10 kms, which is being constructed at the cost of Rs. 3063 crores. Navi Mumbai Metro will make commute easy for inhabitants residing at Kharghar, Taloja and Pendhar. At present, the travel time to reach Taloja from Belapur is 45 minutes. Once the metro becomes operational, this will reduce to 18 minutes, which will be a great relief for Navi Mumbaikars using the route.
The ambitious PMAY housing scheme with the mission to provide ‘Housing For All’ was realized by allotting digitally signed allotment letters to the successful 10,000 applicants. These letters were formally inaugurated through the Housing Go Live website by the Chief Minister, GOM, signifying its vision to cater to the EWS and LIG categories. The entire process was conducted online through a transparent and user-friendly portal.
