As per Hon. High Court’s Order in PIL No.138 of 2012, the Court has issued directives to demolish all illegal structures, which are not protected by rules & regulations, policy of CIDCO or State Govt. of Maharashtra and submit the report to Court. Accordingly, under the guidance of Shri Kishan Jawale, CCUC, CUC (South) arranged the demolition drive at Kharghar Node on 07 May, 2019 in Raigad District of Navi Mumbai.

During the drive 15 unauthorized huts constructed on plot no. 56 and 57 at Sector- 35D were demolished and approximately 2050 sq. m. area has been made free. The unauthorized chawl with 5 rooms and stalls constructed on plot no. N1 to N3, Sector- 39 at Papdicha Pada were demolished and approximately 4,000 sq. m. area was freed.

The unauthorized stalls constructed on plot no. 45, 46, 55 and 57 at Sector- 35D were removed and approximately 2,000 sq. m. area was freed. The unauthorized 60 huts constructed in Sector- 8 were demolished and approximately 10,000 sq. m. area has been freed. The above mentioned encroachments-unauthorised constructions were constructed without taking any permission and by violating the prevalent regulations and policy of CIDCO and CIDCO administration, by following the due procedure of law demolished those encroachments.

The demolition drive was carried out successfully with the help of Shri Rane, Asst. Police Inspector, 5 police officers and 15 police personnel of Kharghar Police Station. Shree Dhuri, PSI, CIDCO with his team and CIDCO’s security guards, MSF staff were also present during the demolition drive. While carrying the demolition drive 10 labours were employed and 2 JCBs and 1 truck were used.
