A chemical leakage was reported from an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plant in Uran on Wednesday morning which caused hotchpotch amongst nearby villager. As part of precautionary Measures, firefighters rushed to the spot.
“Senior officers are present in the Uran plants. Interaction with local’s villagers and administration is on to dispel the panic caused by hydrocarbon smell in the vicinity which is spread through heavy rains”, ONGC tweeted.
Previously, ONGC with the help of social media platform had notified that smell of hydrocarbon was felt the early morning

The organisation tweeted. “At #ONGC Uran plant smell of hydrocarbon felt early in the morning which was spread due to incessant rains .there is no leakage. All precautionary measures are in place. The plant is running normally there is nothing to panic”.
Police confirmed that the situation is in control now.
