Hyderabad, India, 30, April 2019: The April edition of “HandiTalks” took a new and interesting format with the introduction of an icebreaking cook off. Where teams brought in 6 New Salivating Desert Recipes inspired by Desi Mangoes and had the longest interactive session about food entrepreneurship and business skills.

The 9th edition of HandiTalks held on Saturday evening at The Culinary Lounge, saw a full house of well-known chefs, restaurateurs, aspiring food entrepreneurs, techies and other notable people from the industry. The event started with a fun, and ice breaking cook-off session followed by an inspiring fireside chat by Neehar Bisabathini of CHURROLTO alongside Gopi Byluppala, Founder, The Culinary Lounge.

HandiTalks is a novel initiative by Gopi and his business partner Sushma Thota, to create a vibrant and passionate community in the food ecosystem fired with innovation. Attracting, widespread support from prominent industry players, HandiTalks is steadily gaining popularity amongst foodies as the participant numbers have been swelling every edition. The purpose is to form a compelling reason to enable Food Entrepreneurs with the tech, business insights, connections and skills, needed to revamp the F&B sector converge, meet, discuss all about Food and Beverages industry and trends; even invent new recipes.

Fun began with 6 creative teams, Mishti Knight Riders, Daal Baati Royals, Mumbai Pav India, Biriyani Risers Hyderabad, Chennai Idli Kings, and Chole Kings Punjab, formed to bring out their best inventive dessert recipe using desi mango, milk, ghee, semolina, rice, dry fruits, within 20 minutes, without any recipe or orientation whatsoever, this session in HandiTalks is mainly to ease up with the strangers the invitees they just met.

The April edition of HandiTalks saw 6 different unique sweets invention, with each of the sweet even getting an instant name to it thrilled everyone – Mishti Knight Riders team made Queen of Amarapali, Dal Baati Royals team came out with TCL Mango Sensation, Mumbai Pav Indians showed Ratnagiri Ka Raja, Biriyani Risers Hyderabad team developed Desi Mango Halwa inspired by Mango Rice Thai, Chennai Idli Kings made Sun & Sand Desert, and Chole Kings Punjab surprised everyone with their Dil Mango More Desert.

Chef Kiran Joshi, Chef Gaurav Bhardwaj, and Alok Kaul General Manager of Hotel Radisson, who were present said “HandiTalks sessions are enriching, fun, and experiential, which is why food entrepreneurs have enjoyed this social outing where they can cook, bake, socialize, and even network.

Young foodpreneur Neehar Bisabathini of CHURROLTO was the guest for April edition and shared his entrepreneurial journey of making a savoury and desert place CHURROLTO, and how he is running it successfully last 4 years, and how he grown from his small 400 square foot place to establish a vast place in the upmarket Jubilee hills. He shared his challenges in building his venture, managing kitchen, standing at the counter, and his interactions with variety of customers.
