Citing Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Chavdar pond agitation in 1927, in which he led thousands of people from the backward communities to drink the water of the pond in Mahad in Raigad district, which was denied to them by the upper castes, Dr. Suresh Haware stressed the need to understand the thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and not limit him merely to the 3 PS viz. Pustak (Books), Pratik (Fame/Image) and Putlya (Statues).
