A day after the Bachchans revealed that they were corona positive, actor Anupam Kher confirmed on Sunday that his mother, Dulari, together with brother Raju and his spouse have also tested positive for COVID-19. Whereas Kher’s mother is admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, his brother’s family is quarantining at their home.

Sharing a two-minute-20-second-long video on Twitter, the 65-year-old actor said his mother wasn’t able to eat well for the past few days. They got her blood tested earlier which appeared nothing disturbing. After a couple of days, the ‘Hotel Mumbai’ star got his mum scanned after their family doctor suggested a CT scan. “… it turned out she was COVID positive, mild,” he said in the video.

“My brother and I also got ourselves tested, where Raju tested mildly positive while I was negative. My sister-in-law and niece also tested mildly positive,” the actor added. “I’ve informed the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) they’re working amazingly, efficiently. They will sanitise my brother’s residence,” he said.

The news comes a day after megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 and were hospitalised to Nanavati Hospital. As per BMC, the coronavirus case count in Mumbai rose to 91,457 on Saturday. There are 22,779 dynamic patients in Mumbai and the multiplying rate is 50 days.
