An absolute self-made women, Smita Parikh is an RJ, an actor and a writer. She started Lit O Fest which gives equal opportunities to new and old writers, poets and lyricists to showcase and grow. She is also the Managing Director and CEO of E Bizz Entertainment company. She is inspiration to many and encourages youth to follow their dream.

Briefing about lit-o-fest she said “Lit o fest was started 5 years ago to give platform to students and young artists who are looking for platform to support them and guide them. Lit-o-fest has become international, last year it was held in London. It is India’s premium literature culture and music festival is the only festival in the world which has angle of social responsibility. Lit O Fest as a platform also believes in giving back to the society. We have adopted rural village under this festival .The idea is to connect the literacy to literature of the country”.

Sharing information about her journey she stated “I started working very early to support my dad financially. First I started taking home tuitions and then after that I worked in A.I.R (All India Radio) as child artist. I did my education on my own. After completing my education I got the job of casual announcer in A.I.R, Udaipur. After that I was amongst one of the first voices of 101 FM Rainbow. Radio is something I had always loved because radio is a medium which connect thousands of people at once. After doing radio I came to know the power of media. After radio I started doing live shows with Anup Jalota, Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh, Shaan, Sonu Nigam. I even did shows with Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and Hariharanji. After that I started working in Indian Television, My first show was Apne Mere Apne, I played typical bahu though I enjoyed playing the role but not satisfied by the path which I have taken. After that I started working as Marketing Executive in EBuzz Entertainment. After 3-4 years I became the managing partner in the same company. At the age of of 15 I was honoured with Rajasthan Sahitya Academy best story award, Maharana Mewar Foundation award for poetry writing and the Malwa Samman. These awards encouraged me to write more,I have also published books named “Main Panth Niharu” and “Nazms”- Nazmein Intezar Ki”.

Talking about her Inspiration she informed us that “My inspiration is my son Aryaman. He has taught me how to handle pressure and stress, He not only taught me to deliver in perfection but also to balance personal life”.

Asking her about how she balances her life she answered “I deal with both in a strategic manner, I believe in spending quality time rather than dealing with the guilt. It is like see-saw, sometimes you feel pain of not balancing life but there is no pain without gain. But with an understanding family we can balance easily”.

She gave the message that “Understand and respect yourself, Start giving 1 hour every day to yourself, always remember that you are also a priority to yourself. You should strategize your life and most importantly don’t miss ‘me’ time”.
