Konkan, North Maharashtra Independent Statutory Development Corporation proposal submitted to the Center
Mumbai: The ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government and the opposition, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have geared up to take on each other on a number of issues. The session begin on March 1 and will conclude on March 10. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will present the annual budget for 2021-22 on March 8.
Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar’s has information in the Assembly that, Funds will be allocated without reducing a single rupee of Vidarbha and Marathwada. Assuming that statutory development corporations exist, according to the fund allocation source, full funds will be given to Vidarbha, Marathwada in the budget.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced today that the state government is committed to the development of Vidarbha, Marathwada and the appointment on the Vidhanik Development Corporation will be done soon. The Deputy Chief Minister drew the House’s attention on this issue saying that the appointment of twelve MLAs in the Legislative Council is equally important.
Responding to a discussion present in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also informed that the state has sent proposals to the central government for the formation of separate statutory development boards for Konkan and North Maharashtra, the Deputy Chief Minister said. Development of entire Maharashtra including Vidarbha, Marathwada, Konkan, North Maharashtra is the goal of the state government. For this, the appointment of members recommended by the state government for the Legislative Council should also be done immediately. He expressed his opinion that the announcement of appointment of twelve MLAs in the Legislative Council should also be made immediately.
