Navi Mumbai: The confirmation of the BJP-SS-RPI(A)-RSP-KS grand alliance candidature for both the assembly seats of Airoli and Belapur in Navi Mumbai to the BJP candidates – Sandeep Naik and Manda Mhatre, spells certain victory for the BJP, considering the victory margin of about 45000 votes in each of the two assembly constituencies of the alliance’s SS candidate Rajan Vichare in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls.
This alliance will further gain from the Central Government’s abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu-Kashmir and PM Narendra Modi’s popularity graph’s rise after his grand show in Houston, Texas and the United Nations General Assembly recently in USA.
The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi will also eat into the opposition Congress-NCP front votes, thus adding to the victory margin of the grand alliance.
However rebellion, if any, within the BJP and SS ranks could considerably reduce the alliance’s victory margin. But no local leader of some standing will risk any dissent, considering the local municipal corporation general election due in the city just 6 months away.
Also the opposition INC-NCP front has no formidable candidates to confront Sandeep Naik and Manda Mhatre in the city.
