Vashi: A seminar on ‘Union budget 2021’ and felicitation of Vijay Nahata was jointly organized by 6 builders association of Navi Mumbai and Raigad – CREDAI – MCHI Navi Mumbai, CREDAI – MCHI Raigad, Maharashtrian Builders Association of Navi Mumbai, NAINA Builders Welfare Association, YOUTH Association and Navi Mumbai Builders & Developers Association. at Hotel Tunga, here in Navi Mumbai, on February 3, 2021. Adv. Anil Harish partner of M/s D. M. Harish & Co. was the keynote speaker for the seminar.

Vijay Nahata, the chief guest on the occasion, was felicitated for being appointed the chairman of the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forest and Climate Change. Vijay Lakhani, president of CREDAI-MCHI Navi Mumbai, in his welcome address, sought the support of the SEIAA, as builders and developers have issues regarding the environment and expressed hope that Vijay Nahata would certainly help them resolve those issues.

Adv. Anil Harish explained the provision in the Budget for the Housing Industry and its implications on the Real Estate Sector. He threw light on almost all the clauses concerning the real estate and construction industry. After the session many of the attendees got their queries cleared during the question answer session.

Vijay Nahata, thanked the members present and assured all assistance to solve any problems related to environmental issues. He stated that the government is absolutely positive about boosting the Real Estate sector as this is one of the most adversely affected sectors during pandemic and getting this business back on track will be a win – win situation for both i.e., the developers as well as the government treasury. He called upon the members to directly contact him if anybody had any issues without hesitation. He suggested that a seminar be organized, on the Unified DCR recently published by the State government for the knowledge of all builders, and inviting a few expert government officers to speak on the subject.

Vijay Lakhani also pointed out issues faced by developers in NAINA Notified area and requested Vijay Nahata to look into them.  Prakash Baviskar pointed out that at the time of obtaining commencement certificate or occupancy certificate from CIDCO, CIDCO is denying the permission to few such plots which are now under CRZ although the plots were allotted by CIDCO only. The issue needs to be sorted out fast because many projects were held up due to this reason and builders are facing a lot of financial stress as their huge money was stuck up in the said land purchased by them.

Madhu Patil, president- Maharashtrian Builders Association, thanked the ruling State Government. for taking the decision of relief in Stamp Duty to boost the Real Estate sector.

Rajesh Prajapati, founder president of CREDAI-MCHI Raigad also shared his views and announced that a whole day seminar was organised on February 10, to discuss and understand new Unified DCR, at the CIDCO auditorium here where expert government officers would explain about the new Unified DCR and called upon all members of the associations to attend the same.

Presidents of participating associations were also felicitated on the occasion and Rajesh Prajapati proposed the vote of thanks.
